The Coast Guard waterways commerce cutter (WCC) program held public virtual information sessions May 11-12 to inform the public about and seek comment on potential environmental impacts associated with the WCCs.

The presentation accompanying the sessions, which includes information about submitting comments, is available here. The recorded sessions can be viewed here. Comments must be received online by June 11, 2021, for consideration in the draft programmatic environmental impact statement.

The current inland tender fleet plays a critical role in the Coast Guard’s support of the national Marine Transportation System, which facilitates safe and efficient travel of $5.4 trillion in commerce annually and sustains over 30 million jobs.
