Who We Are

CG PSC-EPM-3 is a proposed new branch within the EPM division to manage the Enlisted Evaluation System (EES), formerly known as the Enlisted Employee Review System (EERS).  This division will serve as the primary source of information and guidance for the EES policy and process.

Upcoming Changes to the Enlisted Evaluation System 

The current Enlisted Employee Review (EER) performance standards are out-dated and no longer effectively support the myriad of human resources decisions for the active duty and reserve enlisted workforce.  The Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard and CG-1 chartered a joint work group to revise the EES in order for it to remain an effective expectations management tool (member); performance management tool (supervisor); and talent management tool (organization).

In addition to the name change governing the system, the performance standards (forms) previously referred to as Enlisted Employee Review (EER) Worksheets will now be referred to as the Enlisted Evaluation Report (EER).  These standards will be used for all evaluations effective March 1, 2018 and later.  The current performance standards will remain in effect until February 28, 2018.  Please follow the links in the reference section below to access current EES policy and performance standards.

Implementation Timeline

Communication of the revised EES will begin in the Fall of 2017.  Below are the projected milestones for the rollout of the revised EES:

  • ***New EES performance standards with the approved changes and FAQs are now available.  Please see the FAQs below in the reference section of this page.
  • New policy will be released in early January 2018.
  • Unit outreach and training materials will be provided during January through March of 2018.
  • New evaluation system for all enlisted members will be implemented for official use on March 1, 2018.
