About the Course

The purpose of the course is to provide current/prospective Commanding Officers (CO) and Officers-in-Charge (OIC) with leadership tools to carry out their role as a unit leader within the organization.  This course will prepare CO and OIC personnel too safely and effectively conduct operations at their assigned units by fostering a positive workforce environment.  This course is one of many approved command leadership courses.  Priority is given to those personnel who have not been afforded the opportunity to attend a job-specific command preparatory course.

Training Objectives

Course content focuses on three themes related to proficiency in leadership: Command & Leadership, Command Climate, and Mission Support.
