Subscribers to this list will receive notices and information on Coast Guard military pay and personnel policy and procedures. Subscribers will also be notified when active duty and reserve payslips are posted and of both scheduled and unscheduled outages affecting the Direct Access personnel system or the TPAX travel claim liquidation system. Additionally, subscribers will be updated when important information is posted to the Pay and Personnel Center's internet site.

Beginning in October 2018 members of the Coast Guard and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) can manage their Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI) coverage using the SGLI Online Enrollment System (SOES). Coast Guard and NOAA members join the Army, Navy Air Force, and Marine Corps in using the new system.

New policy allows military members to put their careers on hold.
Deductions for SGLI, TSGLI, and FSGLI terminate upon Release from Active Duty
A Direct Access system change was implemented to terminate SGLI, FSGLI and TSGLI effective the 1st day of the month following separation for all separation types.
Separations - Issues with Delay En route and Approvals
All separations can and should be approved as soon as all the information is completed on the separation orders (prior to or on the day of departing on terminal leave).

Troops to Receive Training on Military's New Blended Retirement System
The new military retirement system is one of the most significant changes to military pay and benefits in 70 years, and the Defense Department has launched mandatory training for eligible service members nearly a year before that new system goes into effect.
