Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) Online Enrollment System (SOES) Implementation

Beginning in October 2018 members of the Coast Guard and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) can manage their Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI) coverage using the SGLI Online Enrollment System (SOES). Coast Guard and NOAA members join the Army, Navy Air Force, and Marine Corps in using the new system.

Blended Retirement System Opt-Ins

The Opt-In window for the Blended Retirement System (BRS) ends on 31 December 2018. 

As of  19 December 2018, PPC has received 6,387 BRS Opt-In elections.

Leadership and Management School (LAMS) Completion Deadline for Servicewide Exam Waiver Process Guidance

PPC (ADV) has created a process guide which provides reference to policy, procedures and information on submitting Leadership and Management School (LAMS) completion deadline waivers to PPC. LAMS completion deadline waivers are available to allow for certain provisions where individuals are unable to complete LAMS prior to the Servicewide Examination Eligibility Date (SED).

Administration of United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Officers Detailed to the Coast Guard

Commandant Instruction 6010.5 (series) has been updated. This Instruction establishes Coast Guard policy and procedures concerning the oversight, management, and integration of USPHS officers detailed to the Coast Guard. It provides information on PCS, TDY, leave, and other personnel administrative tasks to Coast Guard units with USPHS officers assigned.
