Director of Operational Logistics (DOL)

Rear Admiral Melvin W. Bouboulis

Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Bouboulis serves as the Director of Operational Logistics (DOL), responsible for the delivery of mission support logistics for Coast Guard steady state and contingency response operations and for planned events of national significance. He ensures common business processes are used by Logistics Centers and Service Centers during the delivery of regional services provided by DOL’s 16 Base Commands. Prior to this assignment he served as the Assistant Commandant for Engineering and Logistics (CG-4) as the Coast Guard’s “Chief Engineer”, responsible for all naval, aeronautical, civil and industrial engineering and logistics for the service’s 23,000 facilities, 230 ships, 1,800 boats, 200 aircraft and 5000 personnel assigned to Coast Guard Headquarters, Aviation Logistics Center, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center, and the Coast Guard Yard.
