WebNow Upgraded to "Perceptive Experience" - New Link

Effective September 17, 2021, WebNow will be upgraded to "Perceptive Experience". This upgrade only impacts the “view only” or web version – which is currently called WebNow, but is being upgraded to “Perceptive Experience”. New user access requests do not need to be completed. Users who previously logged into the WebNow link will now log into the Perceptive Experience URL using their old WebNow user ID and PW. This upgrade does not impact Perceptive Content, which is used for uploading documents. The SPO Access to the Electronically Imaged PDR (EI‑PDR) user guide has been updated to reflect the upgrade. The URL for Perceptive Experience is https://imgprd01.direct-access.uscg.mil/experience. They system cannot be accessed outside of the Coast Guard network using the URL. The URL is not needed when accessing Perceptive Experience via Direct-Access.

ACN 112/21

SUBJ: CHANGES TO ARMED SERVICES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY (ASVAB)
REQUIREMENTS FOR "A" SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
A. Performance, Training, and Education Manual, COMDTINST M1500.10C
1. This ACN announces changes to REF (A), effective 01
November 2021. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery
(ASVAB) for most "A" schools, are updated per the following
paragraphs.
2. For attending "A" school (other than Diver), there are four
major changes:
   a. The composite ASVAB/Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT)
score requirement for all ratings listed in Enclosure (3) of REF (A)
are adjusted by ten points. All minimums remain unchanged. For
example: The composite score for an Information System Technician
(IT) changed from 172 to 162, but the minimum arithmetic reasoning
is still 52 or minimum AFQT is still 65. "A" school wait lists will
not be changed retroactively.
   b. The Commanding Officer/Officer in Charge (CO/OIC) and Coast
Guard Recruiting Command Accessions (CGRC-acc) waiver authority
has increased from five to ten points, including minimums other
than AFQT.
   c. Rating Force Master Chiefs (RFMC) will replace FORCECOM
Training Division (FC-T) as the final waiver authority. RFMCs will
collect and regularly publish waiver data to help commands and
members understand Service needs/norms and waiver activities.
The data collected will enable the Coast Guard to be more responsive
to changing needs for recruitment and rating throughput across the
organization. RFMCs will adjudicate waiver requests that exceed
CGRC-acc and CO/OIC authority, including minimums.
   d. All members who are denied an ASVAB waiver must receive a
Path to Success Form. The Path to Success Form can be located at:
(Copy and Paste URL Below into Browser)

https://cg.portal.uscg.mil/units/psc/psc-epm/SitePages
/Non-Rates.aspx

The Path to Success Form is designed to give members feedback and
an action plan to increase their chances of obtaining an ASVAB
waiver in the future.
   e. Procedures directing how to submit ASVAB/AFCT waivers are
contained in the ASVAB and AFCT Waiver Request Procedures Process
Guide located at:

3. Paragraphs 7.E.2.a.(10) and 7.J.9 of REF (A) will be updated
to reflect the changes contained herein.
4. Additional communications to the fleet will be released
separately through MyCG, CGPortal, and other channels, as
appropriate.
5. These changes will be implemented into the next revisions
of REF (A), which will be released within the next
year.
6. This message will be cancelled on 21 OCT 2022.
7. POCs:
   a. REF (A) FC-T at: FORCECOMConcurrentClearanceRequest@uscg.mil.
   b. Waiver: RFMCs at: HQS-SMB-ASVAB-WAIVER-REQUESTS@uscg.mil.
8. Released by RDML M. W. Raymond, Commander, Force Readiness
Command (FC).
9. Internet release is authorized.
