Survivor Benefit Plan Open Season - Section 643 of Public Law 117-263

PRINT  |  E-MAIL

Preliminary Information: In early December 2022, we learned that Congress was preparing for an SBP Open Season; there was no advanced notification period provided. Partnering with DFAS, PPC/RAS has been working over the past few weeks to draft procedures we will be following for a successful SBP Open Season experience. We are also creating forms that will allow for the enrollment as well as the disenrollment in SBP and RCSBP. Actuarial tables are also being created to identify premium amounts that will be charged for enrollment. Lots of moving parts, as you can tell, and we’re doing our very best.

The plan is to have everything ready sometime in late January or early February. Please stay tuned and thank you for your patience.
