PPC (ADV) has created a process guide which provides reference to policy, procedures and information on submitting Leadership and Management School (LAMS) completion deadline waivers to PPC. LAMS completion deadline waivers are available to allow for certain provisions where individuals are unable to complete LAMS prior to the Servicewide Examination Eligibility Date (SED).

By Direction Authority Policy Change

United States Coast Guard Regulations 1992, COMDTINST M5000.3B, Article 7-1-9, is amended to allow Commanding Officers to authorize Second Class Petty Officers and GS-7 Civilian Employees to sign, "By direction," pay, personnel, travel, correspondence, routine papers, vouchers, payrolls, returns, and reports not requiring administration discretion by the Commanding Officer.

Distribution of Finalized DD-214

The implementation of electronic transmission of DD Form 214 data to the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) is complete. The Veterans Administration, State Directors of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Labor have access to DD Form 214 data. SPOs are not required to produce and distribute paper copies 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8. DMDC is the official distribution source of the Military Services authoritative and certified information for all periods of active duty that are completed on or after January 1, 2015.
