​Interim Technical Authority Guidance for Military Workforce Pay, Personnel, and Administration, PSCNOTE 5402 is a first step towards establishing doctrine and standards for military workforce pay, personnel, and administration, a key deliverable for the Deputy Commandant for Mission Support-led Personnel Support Initiative (PSI). It states guiding principles of Customer Service, Empowerment, and Accountability that describe what success looks like, and sets standards for accuracy, timeliness, availability, responsiveness, transparency in tracking, and training.

2021 IRS Forms W-2 and 1095-C Information

IRS Form W-2 and 1095-C - The required 2021 IRS tax forms W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement) and 1095-C (Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage) will be mailed no later than 31 Jan 2022 to each members mailing address listed in Direct Access. Members who have selected to opt out of receiving the paper forms will be able to download their tax forms from Direct Access and will not receive a paper copy in the mail.

Changes Coming to TRICARE Retail Network Pharmacies

There are changes coming soon to the TRICARE retail pharmacy network. Starting Dec. 15, 2021, CVS Pharmacy will join the TRICARE network. At the same time, Walmart, Sam's Club, and some community pharmacies will leave the network.

Reminder: If your retirement date is on or after 1 January, 2022, as of 1 November 2021, PPC/RAS will no longer accept Form CG-4700 as your application for retirement pay

CG Form 4700, Coast Guard, PHS & NOAA Retired Pay Account Worksheet and Survivor Benefit Plan Election is being phased out. Coast Guard, PHS and NOAA personnel will join their DoD counterparts and begin using DD Form 2656, Data for Payment of Retired Personnel to establish their retired pay accounts at the Pay & Personnel Center.

Temporary Separations Manual Updated

ACN 111/21 promulgates an update to the Military Separations Manual, COMDTINST M1040.6 (series)​. The Manual has been completely revised from its previous version and a thorough review of the entire Manual is strongly recommended. Major changes include: removing tour completion and time in grade requirements for enlisted members that wish to TEMPSEP on their EOE, added provisions for members to request a TEMPSEP for hardship instead of a hardship discharge if the hardship is temporary and PSC approves, changed maximum time on TEMPSEP from two years to three years, and requiring members to request a return to active duty at least one year before their expected return date.
