Base New Orleans Urgent Care
Coast Guard active duty members enrolled in T-Prime will need to obtain a referral from their assigned PCM when going to any Tricare-accepting network participants.
Base New Orleans Medical is equipped with a small urgent care for triage and stabilization. Emergency care beyond the scope of this facility will be referred to local Emergency Medical Services via 911. Also, members are reminded that any threat to life, limb, or sight is an emergency and does not require prior authorization from the clinic.
For after hours and weekend access to care, members are required to contact the Duty HS at 504-329-1447. You will be triaged and if warranted, either advised to call the Tricare Nurse Advice line or directed straight to the Closest Tricare Authorized Emergency Room. Anytime a member is seen outside of the CG Clinic, they must provide a copy of the visit to the CG Clinic for inclusion in their health record.
AFTER HOURS CARE ON BASE
We do not have a 24 hour HS on board Base New Orleans. If an urgent matter arises after hours, an HS can be reached by a Duty Cell Phone (504-329-1447). If an on base emergency arises after hours, 911 can be called using a land line only.
