SELF-HELP SERVICE:

OVERVIEW:

The Self-Help program is set up to provide residents with many of the tools, supplies and materials needed to complete the tasks required to maintain quarters. This program ensures that residents can meet the expectations and responsibilities of being a Good Neighbor, and benefits the community by making RBH a more attractive place to live. Certain items may be borrowed on a temporary basis or issued for permanent installation within the home. The maintenance staff will provide proper instruction for all items that are checked out for use. Any questions can be directed to any maintenance staff member.

HOURS:

Monday through Friday from 15:00 – 18:00
Saturday from 10:00 – 13:00
Closed on Sunday, Federal Holidays and other special occasions as authorized by the command.

TEMPORARY USE ITEMS...

must be returned within 48 hours of checkout. If items are checked out on a Saturday, they must be returned prior to 18:00 the following Monday. The person checking out the items(s) is responsible for any loss or damages and may be charged for loss or damage. Residents must check in/out all items with duty personal present. The Duty DC will send an email to residents that fail to return items on due date. Failure to return equipment after first notification will require an email to the resident’s supervisor and copy to the Engineer Officer, Facilities Engineer, and Housing Manager. Failure to return items on time on two separate occasions will result in loss of borrowing privileges.
