Small Business Goals

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is responsible for ensuring the government-wide goals for participation of small businesses are established annually at the statutory levels, and that the reporting agencies’ achievements are relative to the goals. Federal government agencies negotiate with the SBA to establish mandatory small business goals. The Coast Guard is committed to ensuring that small business have maximum opportunities to compete for contracts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

:The following are the Coast Guard’s fiscal year 2022 small business and socio-economic category goals

- Small Business (SB) Prime – 42.0 percent

- 8(a) Program/Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) – 10 percent

- Small Disadvantaged Business – 22.5 percent

- Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) – 5 percent

- Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) – 3 percent


- Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) – 3 percent
