Video: HC-130H Departure Marks End of an Era
The Coast Guard accepted its 14th missionized HC-130J Super Hercules long range surveillance aircraft Oct. 27, 2021. Minotaur Mission System Suite integration was completed on CGNR 2014 at L3Harris Technologies in Waco, Texas.
The Coast Guard began HC-130J operations at Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii, June 11, 2021, with the delivery of CGNR 2008.
The Air Force awarded a contract for one Coast Guard C-130J April 8, 2021. The service’s 18th Super Hercules aircraft will be delivered in 2025 and undergo missionization following acceptance.
