SUBJ: UPDATE TO ENLISTED EVALUATION REPORT TIMING
A. Enlistments, Evaluations, and Advancements, COMDINST M1000.2C
1. This ALCOAST updates REF (A) with clarifying language on when
scheduled/unscheduled EERs are required.
2. Paragraph 4.C.1.b.(3). of REF (A) is updated to read:
"(3) Circumstances which prohibit a Regular Enlisted Evaluation
Report. Do not complete a regular EER on a member until the next
regular period ending date when: (a) For active duty members, a
regular or unscheduled evaluation report was completed fewer than
92 days prior for E5 and below, fewer than 184 days for E-6 and
above, or an evaluee has been assigned to a new duty station for
fewer than 92 days for E-5 and below, fewer than 184 days for E6
and above. (b) For enlisted Reservists, a regular or unscheduled
evaluation report was completed fewer than 184 days prior, or has
been assigned to a new duty station for fewer than 184 days."
3. Paragraph 4.C.2.a of REF (A) is updated to read "2. Unscheduled
Enlisted Evaluation Reports. While the EES focuses on regular
evaluation reports, occasionally an unscheduled evaluation report is
required. Use the following to determine whether to complete an
unscheduled evaluation report. a. Complete an unscheduled evaluation
report if the rating chain completed a regular or unscheduled
evaluation report for a period ending 92 days or more for E-5 and
below, 184 days or more for E-6 and above, and 184 days or more for
all enlisted Reservists for one of the events listed below."
4. These changes will be reflected in the next revision of REF (A),
all other policies outlined in REF (A) not addressed remain
