Subscribers to this list will receive notices and information on Coast Guard military pay and personnel policy and procedures. Subscribers will also be notified when active duty and reserve payslips are posted and of both scheduled and unscheduled outages affecting the Direct Access personnel system or the TPAX travel claim liquidation system. Additionally, subscribers will be updated when important information is posted to the Pay and Personnel Center's internet site.

New Edition of the Military Bonus and Incentive Programs Instruction

Major changes include:

Chapter 1, Policy and Governance details policies and procedures applicable to all of the Coast Guard's Military Bonus Programs. This includes new policies pertaining to the Blended Retirement System (BRS).
Chapter 2, Bonuses Applicable to Active Duty Enlisted Members, and Chapter 3, Bonuses Applicable to Officers, have been restructured.
Officer Aviation Bonus Program (AvB) from REF (C) has been added to Chapter 3. AvIP currently outlined in Aviation Incentive Pay (AvIP) and Bonus (AvB) Program, COMDTINST 7220.20A will be incorporated into the next rewrite of the Coast Guard Pay Manual, COMDTINST M7220.29D and COMDTINST 7220.20A will be cancelled.
The eligibility requirements for the Selective Reenlistment Bonus (SRB) have been changed so that members may reenlist at any time within the Fiscal Year (FY) of the member's current end of enlistment (EOE) for the purpose of obtaining an applicable SRB.
Members who are currently in a Class A School or apprenticeship program during an offering for an applicable Critical Skills Training Bonus (CSTB) are now eligible to apply for the CSTB bonus. Chapter 2.G. contains the eligibility criteria for the CSTB.
Policies pertaining to bonus eligibility for Reservists on short term and long term ADOS orders have been added to Chapter 4, Bonuses Applicable to Selected Reserve (SELRES).
The obligated service requirements for the SELRES Enlistment Bonus has changed to eight years (6 years SELRES, 2 years IRR). Chapter 4.E.2 contains the eligibility criteria for the SELRES Enlistment Bonus.
Members affiliating in the Reserve Component and transferring to the IRR due to billet non-availability will now remain eligible for the SELRES Affiliation Bonus for up to nine months after affiliation. Chapter 4.E.4 discusses special conditions for affiliating into the Reserve Component.
