Direct-Access Planned Maintenance Outage
Direct Access will not be available from Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 0600 (EST) until Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 0600 (EST). This outage is necessary for an upgrade and modernization to Direct Access. For more information see ALCOAST 057/23.
Subscribers to this list will receive notices and information on Coast Guard military pay and personnel policy and procedures. Subscribers will also be notified when active duty and reserve payslips are posted and of both scheduled and unscheduled outages affecting the Direct Access personnel system or the TPAX travel claim liquidation system. COMDT COGARD WASHINGTON DC 211940Z OCT 22/ALCOAST 403/22 1. This ALCOAST announces an update to the results of the FY23 Military Workforce Planning Team (MWPT), specifically the Critical Skills Retention Bonus (CSRB) authorized in Paragraph 5 of REF (A) for Boatswain's Mate (BM) members who are qualified as Surfman (SRF). Qualified BM members that are assigned to a SRF position and whose End of Enlistment (EOE) falls within FY23 may now reenlist or extend within FY23 for the purposes of obtaining the BM SRF CSRB. CSRB entitlement will only be based on newly acquired obligated service. 2. Para 5.c.(1) of REF (A) is hereby replaced with: "(1) A $40,000 CSRB is authorized for BM members in paygrades E5 through E7 who are qualified as Surfman (SRF) or who become qualified as SRF in FY23. Members are eligible for a bonus if they enter into a bonus agreement for six (6) years of active duty service commitment and: (a) They are currently assigned to a SRF position and have an EOE in FY23; or (b) They are tour complete in AY2023 and are in receipt of orders to a SRF position." 3. Applicable members who reenlisted or extended due to EOE prior to this message may submit a memo waiver request in order to receive a CSRB. Waiver requests should be submitted to CG-133. 4.
