Direct-Access Planned Maintenance Outage

Direct Access will not be available from Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 0600 (EST) until Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 0600 (EST). This outage is necessary for a Direct Access upgrade and modernization.  For more information see ALCOAST 057/23.

Advance Preparations For Upcoming Outage to Direct Access

SUBJ: ADVANCE PREPARATIONS FOR UPCOMING OUTAGE TO DIRECT ACCESS
1. This ALCOAST announces necessary preparations in advance of the
scheduled system outage to the Coast Guard's Human Capital
Management system, Direct Access. The system outage is required to
support an upgrade to PeopleTools 8.59 and modernization of the
Direct Access Homepage.
2. At 0600 EST, Saturday, March 25, 2023, there will be no
availability to Direct Access while tasks are being performed to
support the upgrade. Direct Access is scheduled to be reactivated at
0600 EST, Tuesday, March 28, 2023. This outage is necessary to avoid
the submission of self-service and SPO transactions that potentially
conflict with a system upgrade.
3. This system outage for Direct Access impacts all Active Duty,
Reservists, Retirees, Annuitants, and civilian supervisors of
military members. During this timeframe, access to self-service in
Direct Access for all users will be unavailable. This means no
login access, including no ability to submit absence requests,
no processing of pay or separation transactions and no processing
of orders to include Reserve IDT, ADT, etc.
4. Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge and Command
Senior Enlisted Leaders should advise all members of the need
to complete any required work prior to 0600 EST, Saturday
March 25, 2023.
