Coast Guard Accepts 12th C-27J Spartan

The Coast Guard HC-27J Asset Project Office in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, accepted the service’s 12th C-27J Spartan medium range surveillance aircraft April 5, 2017. This aircraft had not been accepted by the Air Force during its original acquisition program and underwent a different regeneration process than did the other 13 Spartans the Coast Guard is acquiring. The next C-27J (CGNR 2703) is undergoing the usual regeneration process at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.
