The Coast Guard delivered its latest HC-130J Super Hercules long range surveillance aircraft to the L3 Technologies Inc. Integrated Systems Platform Integration Division in Waco, Texas, April 30 to undergo replacement of its legacy mission system with Minotaur.

The aircraft, CGNR 2007, will receive Minotaur installation, which is a government-owned and -operated mission system architecture used by the U.S. Navy and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Missionization with the Minotaur Mission System Suite involves modifying the aircraft to incorporate the radar; sensors; and remaining command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment to allow aircrews to gather and process information for transmission to surface and shore operators.
