Work-Life Staff

  • Family Advocacy Specialist (FAS), POC: Ms. Debra Voekler (504) 253-4702, Debra.C.Voelker@uscg.mil
    Program Overview: Family Advocacy Case Management (child domestic violence), Child Lures Training, which helps parents teach their children how to identify child lures, Coordinates action between military and civilian community services, Elder Abuse (financial and physical exploitation of the elderly), and education and prevention training on all aspects of abuse/sexual and spousal abuse.

    Program Overview: Coordinate and facilitate UHPC (Unit Health Promotion Coordinator) Course, Provide guidance & resources to UHPCs and all individual customers as requested, Unit Choosing Healthy Options for Wellness (CHOW) assessment.

    Program Overview: Assist members with victim support and intimidation-free reporting.

    Program Overview: Assist members and command with EAP and referrals to local service/counseling, Victim Advocate Program Coordinator, Suicide prevention info, training & referral, Workplace Violence/Threatening Behavior, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Sexual Assault Advocacy Coordinator, and Stress Management. The Personal Management Financial Coordinator (PFMC) offers financial counseling and is responsible for coordinating and/or facilitating education and training (e.g., setting up CG SUPRT Financial Wellness classes), information, and referral assistance to Coast Guard personnel and their families.
