A Coast Guard Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew medevaced 10 people from Marsh Harbour to Nassau, Bahamas, Sept. 5, 2019. In coordination with the Bahamian National Emergency Management Agency and the Royal Bahamian Defense Force who are leading the search and rescue efforts, the Coast Guard continues to conduct search and rescue operations after Hurricane Dorian, a Category 5 hurricane, devastated the Bahamas. The Coast Guard accepted its 16th missionized HC-130J Super Hercules long range surveillance aircraft Feb. 19, 2024, from L3Harris in Waco, Texas. CGNR 2016 was delivered to Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina.


The Coast Guard accepted delivery of its 17th C-130J long range surveillance aircraft Aug. 10, 2023, from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Georgia. The aircraft will operate out of the Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, until it undergoes missionization at L3Harris in Waco, Texas.


The Coast Guard accepted its 16th C-130J long range surveillance aircraft Nov. 10, 2022, from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Georgia. The aircraft will next undergo missionization which encompasses the installation of the Minotaur Mission System Suite and APY-11 multimode radar at L3Harris in Waco, Texas.
