Supervisors of Civilians Tier II (resident) (502799)

This 5 day exportable course is designed to provide training to newly hired/promoted civilian and military supervisors of USCG civilian personnel. This course covers leadership situations, offers an opportunity to speak with Human Resources and Labor Relation specialists, and builds on the knowledge gained in Supervisor of Civilian Tier I. Target audience: This class is for newly hired/promoted civilian and military supervisors of USCG civilian personnel. Newly appointed supervisors will have priority, however experienced supervisors and managers may also attend.

DHS Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program (SES CDP)

Designed to develop the talents and skills of individuals with executive potential in order to create a cadre of candidates who can assume senior management positions at the SES level as vacancies occur. Candidates who successfully complete the program and receive certification of their executive qualifications by an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Review Board (QRB) under the criterion of 5 U.S.C. 3393(c)(2)(B), will be eligible for initial noncompetitive appointment to the SES. Target audience: high-performing GS14/15 (or equivalent)

U.S. Army War College's (USAWC) Distance Education Program (DEP)

The Distance Education Program consists of a series of eight primary online courses, an elective or directed research project, and two summer resident courses, taken over a two-year period. Target audience: Must be a full-time GS 13/14/15 or equivalent USCG employee for at 1 least one year and Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum 2.5 GPA

The program is based on the Office of Personnel Management's Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and the Graduate School, USDA's Leadership Effectiveness Inventory (LEI). Target audience: GS 13-15 and equivalent wage grade levels (WS 14-18 and WL 14)
