MSTCM's Biography

Master Chief Ann Logan assumed the duties of Command Master Chief for the Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina in the summer of 2017.  As Command Master Chief, she advises Captain Randy Hartnett, the Commanding Officer of the Aviation Logistics Center, on issues and initiatives pertaining to morale, welfare, job satisfaction, discipline, utilization and training of enlisted personnel.


Master Chief Logan is a 1985 graduate of Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts and graduated Coast Guard Basic Training in December 1993.  She graduated Marine Science Technician “A” school in June of 1997 and advanced to Master Chief in July 2017.


Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Command Senior Chief and Incident Management Division Chief at Marine Safety Unit Port Arthur, Texas.  Other assignments include Chief Petty Officer’s Academy instructor, Petaluma, California; Response Department Chief Sector Northern New England, South Portland, Maine; Operations Petty Officer Marine Safety Detachment Unalaska, Dutch Harbor, Alaska; Lead Petty Officer Sector Field Office (formerly Marine Safety Office), Valdez, Alaska; Port State Control Examiner Sector Seattle (formerly Marine Safety Office Puget Sound), Washington; Sector (formerly Marine Safety Office), San Diego, California; Station Bellingham, Washington and Coast Guard Cutter POLAR STAR in Seattle, Washington.


She is a graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer’s Academy class CLXI (161) and the Coast Guard’s Senior Enlisted Leadership Course in New London, Connecticut.  Master Chief Logan also holds an Associate Degree in Science from Excelsior College.


Master Chief Logan’s personal awards include three Coast Guard Commendations Medals, three Achievement Medals, two Commandant’s Letter of Commendations, six Good Conduct Medals, Volunteer Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, two Antarctic Service Medals and 17 unit and team awards.
