Master Chief Gregory A. Miles assumed his duties as Command Master Chief at ALC Elizabeth City on June 15, 2020. Previous units include Deputy Comptroller, Base Portsmouth, VA, Budget Officer at Sector Ohio Valley in Louisville, KY, Command Senior Chief at MSU Portland Oregon, Supply Chief, Coast Guard Special Missions training Center in Camp Lejeune, NC, Supply Supervisor at Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile, AL, Independent Duty SK and plank owner of USCGC Barbara Mabrity in Mobile AL, Comptroller Storekeeper at Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Mobile, AL, Supply Storekeeper at Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater in Clearwater, FL, and lastly, Seaman on USCGC Tahoma in New Bedford, MA.
Master Chief Miles's personal awards include five Coast Guard Commendation medals, three Coast Guard Achievement medals, four letter of Commendation awards and numerous other individual and unit awards.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, Master Chief Miles has been married to Renee T. (Badeaux) Miles for 27 years and they have two adult children, Cpl. Michael Miles (USMC) and PFC Sean Miles (USMC).
