November 2021 Servicewide Examination (SWE) Announcement Message
All Coast Guard Enlisted (ALCGENL) message 118/21 announces the November 2021 SWE competition for all ratings, except MU, for advancement to pay grades E-5 through E-6. The November 2021 SWE is waived for BM2 only, and is continued as a supplemental advancement list. Commanding Officers (CO) must ensure dissemination of this message to all active duty enlisted members in their AOR. Members planning to participate in the SWE need to be aware of these requirements, as well as their responsibility to confirm they are met.

Resumption of the Body Composition Program
This message announces the resumption of Body Composition Screenings (BCS) beginning 01 OCT 2021 and updates Coast Guard Weight and Body Fat Standards Program Manual, COMDTINST M1020.8H with Abdominal Circumference (AC) as an additional body composition measure.

This message announces an update to the advancement policy and procedures related to the Enlisted Ratings Advancement Training System (ERATS) and provides updates to the Occupational Analysis (OA) process.

Reserve Master Chief Advancement Panel Announcement
ACN message 064/21 announces the implementation of the Reserve Master Chief Advancement Panel (R-MCAP) for advancement to E-9 in the Reserve Component. The R-MCAP will convene annually, beginning in October 2021, to select eligible Senior Chief Petty Officers (SCPOs) in the Reserve Component, including members of the Selected Reserve (SELRES) and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), for advancement to Master Chief Petty Officer for all ratings.
