Direct Access Outage Thursday, 19 Dec 0001 Hrs. to Tuesday, 31 Dec 2359 Hrs. (Eastern Time)

Direct Access (DA) will not be available for units, SPOs, members or retirees & annuitants from 0001 (EST) on Thursday, 19 December 2019 to 2359 on Tuesday, 31 December 2019 (EST). This outage is necessary to support 2020 pay rate and other regulatory changes. The self-service password reset feature will also be disabled during this outage.

Reimbursement of Spouse State License and Certification Costs

This message announces the policy and procedures to reimburse a member of the armed forces for qualified re-licensing costs of a spouse due to relocation from another state due to PCS orders. Updated Guidance on Screening for Overseas Duty

Overseas Screening is no longer required for assignments within the city of Anchorage, Alaska or within the island of Oahu, Hawaii. A full medical pre-screening is no longer required prior to submission of an e-resume as long as the member and the departing command have confirmed there are no indications of a member being unsuitable for overseas assignment.

June 1st is the official start to hurricane season. Last year, 8 named storms displaced thousands of Coast Guard members and their families while hundreds of other Coast Guard Personnel, from around the Nation, surged to respond to the impacted communities. This, along with ongoing contingences the Coast Guard is responding to, is a strong reminder that all eligible Coast Guard GTCC cardholders should have a CITI travel card and they should activate their new CITI travel cards in the event of an of immediate evacuation or deployment.

Direct Access Known Issue: PCS Orders - Getting Kicked Out When Trying to Access

We have gotten reports that some of you are getting kicked out of DA when you try to access PCS orders. Programmers have determined that it is due to people making customizations to their PeopleSoft pages. If you are experiencing this issue, you must submit a trouble ticket so that we can fix your account. Please reference " PSUSEROBJTYPE" in your ticket so that we can expedite your request.

PCS Mileage (MALT) and TDY Mileage Rates

Effective 1 January 2019, the MALT (monetary allowance in lieu of transportation) rate per authorized POC (privately owned conveyance) is $0.20 (twenty cents) per mile. This rate is effective for all PCS travel that commences on or after 1 January 2019 (i.e., the initial travel is started).

Obligated Service Requirement to Attend Class "A" School

In order for a member to execute orders to Class A School they must have at least 24 months of service remaining on their enlistment upon graduation from Class A School. It is the responsibility of the member’s Personnel and Admin Office to ensure the member meets the 24 month obligated service requirement prior to executing orders to Class A School.
