CG accepts 12th C27J

The Coast Guard HC-27J Asset Project Office in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, accepted the service’s 12th C-27J Spartan medium range surveillance aircraft April 5, 2017. This aircraft had remained in custody of L3 Technologies Inc. instead of being transferred to the Air Force with the other 13 Spartans the Coast Guard is acquiring. The next C-27J (CGNR 2703) is undergoing the usual regeneration process at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. The aircraft is scheduled for delivery next month. U.S. Coast Guard photo.
