Coast Guard conducts market research on counter-UAS capabilities

The Coast Guard on July 3 published a request for information (RFI) seeking information on the current capabilities of counter unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), the availability of C-UAS as a service (contractor-owned, contractor-operated), and the availability of C-UAS equipment operated by the government but owned and maintained by the vendor (contractor-owned, government-operated).

The Coast Guard envisions future use of C-UAS capabilities to counter threats posed by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The concept includes rapidly deployable and adaptable C-UAS solutions for fixed, temporary, on-the-move and portable deployments to secure critical infrastructure and high-profile events. Upon deployment, C-UAS must have the capability to detect, identify, monitor, track, warn, disrupt and seize threat UAVs.

The RFI is available here. Responses are due no later than 5 p.m. EDT on July 25, 2025.
