Aug. 15, 2025 —
The Coast Guard on Aug. 13, 2025, issued a request for information (RFI) seeking industry feedback on potential implementation strategies and approaches in support of its effort to modernize its human resources information technology (HRIT) portfolio and capabilities. Interested respondents with HRIT experience and insight are encouraged to review and respond to the RFI, which can be viewed here. Responses to the RFI are requested no later than 9:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on September 12, 2025. Please refer to the RFI text for further details and instructions on how to submit a response. In addition to this RFI, the Coast Guard is planning additional future opportunities, including industry days, to inform this critical management modernization effort.
Without the means to effectively and efficiently grow and manage its military, civilian and auxiliary workforces, the Coast Guard’s ability to meet critical mission demands and foster maritime safety, security and stability is reduced. The data gathered through this RFI will provide the Coast Guard with critical insight towards establishing a path to achieve the HRIT goals outlined in Force Design 2028, the Coast Guard’s comprehensive blueprint for organizational transformation.
