Shore Programs
The mission of Program Executive Office Shore (CG-SHORE) is to provide comprehensive planning and execution of acquisition, sustainment and contracting actions across the Coast Guard’s extensive inventory of shore facilities and supporting infrastructure. In alignment with the Force Design 2028 transformation agenda, the new domain integrates shore infrastructure planning and programming that was previously carried out by two separate directorates to improve outcomes while balancing long-term needs, timeliness, and affordability.
CG-SHORE is responsible for managing all aspects of planning, designing, contracting, acquiring, engineering and environmental stewardship services to support the "right" facility, at the "right" location, at the "right" time, and for the "right" cost. The new domain is applying a systems-based, life cycle management approach to make informed decisions and investments across the full scope of the nearly 40,000 shore infrastructure assets owned by the Coast Guard, representing a total plant replacement value of over $28 billion.
Each Coast Guard mission begins and ends at a shore facility. The realignment of design, construction, engineering and sustainment and environmental management functions under CG-SHORE is transforming the landscape of the Coast Guard’s shore infrastructure to better support successful execution of all missions.
