The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in support of the Coast Guard’s waterfront recapitalization efforts in Juneau, Alaska, is holding an industry engagement event June 3 at Coast Guard Station Juneau. Information and registration instructions for vendors interested in participating are available here. The deadline to register is May 27.
The waterfront infrastructure at Coast Guard Station Juneau requires recapitalization to support future homeporting of Coast Guard Cutter Storis, a medium icebreaker conducting critical search and rescue, maritime security, environmental response and national defense missions in the Arctic and Alaska regions. NOAA is supporting the recapitalization effort as part of an agreement recently signed with the Coast Guard to cooperatively deliver maritime infrastructure.
This event will provide interested vendors with an opportunity to walk the future Coast Guard Station Juneau worksite, receive information on scope, provide feedback on objectives and help shape the Coast Guard’s strategic direction for the project. Contract award is projected to occur in fiscal year 2026.
