All Household Goods moves will be processed through the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) which can be found via:
If you have not used the system in 45 days, you will need to register as a “NEW USER” (Previous moves, if any, will re-populate in your record)
Once you obtain your USER ID and PASSWORD, log in to “Start a New Move”.
***NOTE: PCS ORDERS must contain OFFICIAL’s SIGNATURE***
For a Personally Procured Move (Formerly known as DITY)
Select the Household Goods option (HHG) and annotate YES to the question “Will the shipment selected above be created as a Personally Procured Move (PPM)?
Once the application is completed, please upload your orders to the DPS website or visit the HHG Transportation/Counseling office to receive final counseling and documentation.
For a Government contracted Household Goods Move:
Select the Household Goods option (HHG) and annotate NO to the question “Will the shipment selected above be created as a Personally Procured Move (PPM)?
Once the application is completed, please print, sign, date, and upload DD Form 1299 and DD Form 1797 and a copy of your orders to DPS (print forms just before clicking 'submit' in your application). Uploading these documents to DPS or EMAILING will ensure an expedient process of your application. If you cannot upload the documents, please visit the closest Transportation/Counseling office.

Please submit documents to counseling office at least 2-3 weeks prior to your requested pick-up date.
***Please add your spouse, etc as a point-of-contact in the application. Also, in the pick-up and delivery section of the application, add your spouse, etc as a releasing & receiving agent (in the event you're not available on day of pick-up or delivery) ***Once your shipment is booked, you will receive an email to your primary email address with the carrier's name and contact info.
