Retirees/Annuitants/FSPA Payees Change your Federal Income Tax Withholding or Additional Withholding:
Do not use IRS W-4P (Withholding Certificate for Pension or Annuity Payments). Direct Access is configured to withhold federal income tax based on the information from the IRS W-4. Beginning on April 1, 2020, if you provide your information on a W-4P form, you will be asked to complete a W-4 instead so that the system will be able to recognize your request

Maine Releases New State Income Tax Withholding Certificate
Maine has updated Form W-4ME, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. If you are a resident of Maine you should complete the new form and, if needed, update your state income withholding allowances via Direct Access Self Service as soon as possible.

The Form ID W-4 is here! This first-ever Idaho W-4 form is a new and improved tool to help make the payroll withholding process simpler, easier and specific to Idaho tax law. The Idaho-specific W-4 form is on our website at tax.idaho.gov/w4form.

Reminder for SPOs: Changing State Taxes
When changing a member's state income tax withholding, always insert a new row from the Federal Tax Data tab. This is counter-intuitive given there's a separate State Tax Data tab but that's how it works.
