Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) Rate Protection

 

The Coast Guard Pay Manual COMDTINST M7220.29D Article 3.C., implements the BAH Rate Protection policy. BAH Rate protection keeps a member from having a reduction in BAH as long as the member maintains eligibility.

 

Mission:  To process BAH Rate Protection requests in accordance with the policy set forth in COMDTINST M7220.29D, Article 3.C.

 

Procedures. Eligible members may apply for BAH Rate Protection by completing CG-2025A, Housing Allowance Protection Worksheet and email to HQS-SMB-CGPSC-PSDFS-BAH@uscg.mil.
