Subscribers to this list will receive notices and information on Coast Guard military pay and personnel policy and procedures. Subscribers will also be notified when active duty and reserve payslips are posted and of both scheduled and unscheduled outages affecting the Direct Access personnel system or the TPAX travel claim liquidation system. Additionally, subscribers will be updated when important information is posted to the Pay and Personnel Center's internet site.

Be prepared: Take your mandatory transition training
All members are required to take pre-separation counseling on the Learning Management System (LMS) or a transition seminar. Members are authorized to begin their transition one year out from separation or two years out from retiring. Contact your local transition manager or visit the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) website at https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/CG1/Health-Safety-and-Work-Life-CG-11/Office-of-Work-Life-CG-111/Transition-Assistance-Program/.

Permanent Promotion Obligated Service for Voluntary Retirement
ALCOAST Commandant Change Notice 137/18 announced an error in a recent change to the Military Separations Manual, COMDTINST M1000.4. The two-year obligated service requirement for promotion was inadvertently omitted. This requirement is still in effect: “complete the two-year obligated service requirement incurred for a permanent promotion. (An officer will not be promoted if he or she has an approved voluntary retirement on file).”
