Direct Access Maintenance and Limited Availability Periods Scheduled

Direct Access (DA) will not be available from 5:00 AM (Central Time) on Saturday, October 2, 2021 until 5:00 AM (Central Time), Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Access will be limited to only those users who will be performing tasks associated with security update and data center move.

DA will not be available from 5:00 PM (Central Time) on Friday, October 29, 2021 until 3:00 PM (Central Time), Saturday, October 30, 2021. Access will be limited to only those users who will be performing tasks associated with security update and data center move.

WebNow Upgraded to "Perceptive Experience" - New Link

Effective September 17, 2021, WebNow will be upgraded to "Perceptive Experience". This upgrade only impacts the “view only” or web version – which is currently called WebNow, but is being upgraded to “Perceptive Experience”. New user access requests do not need to be completed. Users who previously logged into the WebNow link will now log into the Perceptive Experience URL using their old WebNow user ID and PW. This upgrade does not impact Perceptive Content, which is used for uploading documents. The SPO Access to the Electronically Im​aged PDR (EI‑PDR) user guide has been updated to reflect the upgrade. The URL for Perceptive Experience is https://imgprd01.direct-access.uscg.mil/experience. They system cannot be accessed outside of the Coast Guard network using the URL. The URL is not needed when accessing Perceptive Experience via Direct-Access.

PCS Assist update—Work-around for phone line’s technical difficulties

Due to technical difficulties, the Permanent Change of Duty Station (PCS) Assist Team’s toll-free number, (833) 551-0887, is no longer available. The PCS Assist Team will still cease operations on September 30, 2021. Until that date, those with PCS customer service needs should route their requests to the appropriate administrative support, transportation, housing, or technical expert representatives. Also, the shared PCS mailbox will continue to be monitored through September 30, 2021.

E-Gov Travel System (ETS) Travel Assist Team

ALCOAST 347/21: E-Gov Travel System (ETS) Travel Assist Team: The establishment and deployment of a Travel Assist Team (TAT) has been undertaken as part of the implementation of the ETS roll-out. This team will play a critical role during the implementation phase of ETS, easing the burdens during this transition for members and units. Our TAT members are assigned to designated geographic areas supporting the PPC Customer Call Center with inquiries from travelers and approvers using ETS.

How To Use Your Government Travel Card During the FSMS Cutover Period

You may have heard about the new Financial Management System (FSMS) and the new travel system (ETS) coming online at the beginning of October. As this occurs, there is a scheduled “cut over period” and in order to assist travelers with this transition, the Coast Guard has announced an immediate temporary expanded use of the government travel charge card (GTCC). During this time members who are performing a permanent change of station (PCS), long-term temporary travel, or who are under disaster evacuation orders may use their travel cards, whereas normally they would not be allowed.

New Travel Management Center (TMC) For Travel Reservations And Ticketing

Starting 01 October 2021, all official travel (e.g. airline, bus, ship, Alaska Marine Highway System, rental vehicle, lodging) must be arranged through CWTSato. Travelers shall continue using ADTRAV for reservations through 30 September 2021 if the travel is commencing before 15 October 2021.

Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program: Financial and Travel System Transition Guidance

ALCGPSC 087/21 announces immediate temporary expanded use of the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) to support travel requirements until completion of the new financial system cutover period as indicated in references ALCOAST 194/21 (Financial System Modernization Solution (FSMS) Implementation) and ALCOAST 237/21 (FSMS Implementation Update 1). These policy waivers offer a reliable means of financial support in the absence of standard travel advances being processed or travel claim payments being timely processed, particularly for Permanent Change of Station, Long-Term TAD, and Disaster Evacuation Orders.

The new travel system, E-Gov Travel System (ETS), implementation will begin on October 1, 2021. With such a significant transition, we are introducing a series of multiple two to four hour training sessions via virtual webinar sessions. These webinars will be available each week (including two Sunday sessions in October for Reservists) leading up to go-live, and will continue on a bi-weekly basis after go-live until the new calendar year.
