2021 Adjustments to Retired/Retainer Pay, Survivor Annuities and Premiums
The following Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLAs) are effective December 1, 2020, based on the increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) through the third quarter calendar year 2020. Coast Guard JROTC Instructor Position openings for retired CG members in the 2021-2022 academic year
United States Coast Guard — The Coast Guard is pleased to announce the establishment of two new CG JROTC units: one at Lucy Beckham High School (LBHS) in Mt. Pleasant, SC, and one at Pinellas Park High School (PPHS) in Largo, FL, in the 2021-2022 academic year. We are encouraging the highest caliber influential leaders who meet the program qualifications and have a passion for developing service-minded citizens to pursue the opportunity of being a CG JROTC instructor at one of these units. Interested individuals should begin right away by applying for Navy JROTC instructor certification as key deadlines are fast approaching. After receiving certification, individuals will apply directly with the appropriate school districts in the spring of 21.

2020 IRS Forms W-2 and 1095C Information
ALCGPSC message 139/20 provides information on the availability of IRS Forms W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement) and 1095-C (Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage) for the 2020 tax year.
IRS Form W-2 and 1095-C - The required 2020 IRS tax forms W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement) and 1095-C (Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage) will be mailed no later than 31 Jan 2021 to the member’s mailing address listed in Direct Access https://hcm.direct-access.us/psp/HCPRD/?cmd=login. Members who have elected to opt out of receiving the paper forms will be able to download their tax forms from Direct Access and will not receive a paper copy in the mail. Members who have not opted out of paper form receipt are highly encouraged to do so for the reduction of fraud and identity theft while also reducing postage/material costs for the Coast Guard. Commands are highly encouraged to advocate that the most secure method of accessing/receiving IRS Form W-2 is exclusively through Direct Access Self Service. All members with access to Direct Access, regardless of whether they opted out or not, will be able to download and print their individual tax forms starting in late January 2021.

ALCGPSC message 129/20 is the final report for the 2020 Master Chief Advancement Panel (MCAP) convened on 24 August 2020. The report provides the names of the Senior Chiefs, listed by rate and in order of merit, who are recommended and eligible for advancement to Master Chief.
