Direct Access Self-Service Password Reset Offline
PPC is aware of the Direct Access "Forgot Password" issue resulting in customers not receiving an email with the link to reset their password. Direct Access programmers are currently working to resolve this, but there is no estimated time to resolution. Because of this issue, we are currently experiencing an extremely high volume of password reset requests. Please be advised it could take up to 3 business days for PPC to reset your password.
Subscribers to this list will receive notices and information on Coast Guard military pay and personnel policy and procedures. Subscribers will also be notified when active duty and reserve payslips are posted and of both scheduled and unscheduled outages affecting the Direct Access personnel system or the TPAX travel claim liquidation system. Additionally, subscribers will be updated when important information is posted to the Pay and Personnel Center's internet site.

Wisconsin Withholding Tax Rates Unchanged but Tax Rates Reduced
The individual income tax rates for taxable years 2019 and 2020 will be reduced as explained in Wisconsin Tax Bulletin 206. However, the current withholding tax rates will continue for 2019 and 2020. The withholding rates are available in Publication W-166, Withholding Tax Guide, for payroll periods beginning on or after April 1, 2014.

Treasury and IRS to launch redesigned W-4 Form in 2020 to Ensure Smooth Taxpayer Experience
The Treasury Department announced that the IRS will implement a redesigned W-4 form for tax year 2020, a timeline that will allow for continued work to refine the new approach for the form. As a result of the enactment of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Treasury and the IRS are revising the wage withholding system and Form W-4, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. In June, the IRS released a draft redesigned form for public comment and received many helpful suggestions for improvements, which they are working to integrate.

Maine Releases New State Income Tax Withholding Certificate
Maine has updated Form W-4ME, Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate. If you are a resident of Maine you should complete the new form and, if needed, update your state income withholding allowances via Direct Access Self Service as soon as possible.
