Direct-Access Planned Maintenance Outage

Direct Access will not be available from Friday, December 2, 2022 at 21:00 (CST) until Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 01:00 (CST). This outage is necessary for system and server maintenance. 

Direct Access will not be available from Monday, December 19, 2022 at 23:01 (CST ) until Tuesday, January 3, 2022, at 22:59 (CST). This outage is necessary to ensure members' pay and benefits are updated to reflect the 2023 pay rates and other regulatory changes, which include COLA, BAH, and tax rates. SUBJ:  SUSPENSION OF HIGH YEAR TENURE (HYT)
A. Military Separations, COMDTINST M1000.4
1. This ALCOAST announces the suspension of enlisted HYT for active
duty members, as set forth below, until 1 January 2025. 
2. Effective immediately, active duty enlisted members who reach or 
exceed their Professional Growth Point (PGP) on or before 1 January 
2025, to include members serving on a current HYT waiver, shall not 
be separated under the HYT policy outlined in chapter 3 of REF (A).
Members serving on an expired HYT waiver with an approved 
separation authorization for CY22 should contact CG PSC-EPM-1
regarding the potential for continued service. The MWPT will 
evaluate the health of the enlisted workforce through 2024 and
will provide a recommendation to COMDT (CG-1) on executing HYT by
31 December 2024.
3. A working group has been chartered by COMDT (CG-1) to revise HYT 
as a workforce management tool. The HYT work group will continue to 
consider how to modernize HYT policy to enhance career flexibility 
while ensuring qualified individuals continue to advance into 
positions of greater leadership and responsibility.
4. All other policies outlined in REF (A) not addressed remain 
unchanged.
5. This message will be cancelled on 02 OCT 2023.
